Hey paper peeps! How good are you at remembering people’s birthdays? Yeahhh I probably couldn’t even tell you what I had for dinner last night, let alone all these birthdays between friends & family?! Yikes! Don’t worry, I have the perfect solution! Ok if you’ll look in your Cake For Breakfast Kit, you will find 1 of 2 of these darling little Pink Paislee C’est La Vie Notebooks!
They are so cute and perfecto for stickin in your purse! I was thinking man I wish I had a little book to jot down all these birthdays so I can keep a better grip on the card sending and stuff.. Well necessity is indeed the mother of invention!
Run to your stash, we’re going to whip out this little chunky monkey birthday book for your purse! Here’s what you’ll need!
- month stickers or dies
- 6 tickets/tabs from your stash (can be any color you want there are no rules here)
- tiny attachuh
- mini glassine envelope
- washi tape
Start out by decorating the cover with all of your pretties, then do the inside cover! In your kit you’ll find a mini glassine envelope, I ran mine through the Big Shot with my favorite embossing folder, this little pin dot! Then I was like duh that’d make a great place to keep birthday gift tags, woot woot!
Ok now we’re ready for the pages! What in the world do we do with precisely 6 tickets? First off, cut them in half! We are going to use them as page tabs!
Now. Alternate every other page and staple a half piece of ticket to the edge of each page, inching down so they are staggered. Before I stapled the tickets, I laid a month die cut word on top of each ticket! This die cut set I used is by Kaisercraft and you can find it here!
But don’t worry! If you don’t have a month die, you can use a month stamp, other types of die cut letters, stickers, or you can even just write the month in that fabulous handwriting of yours! Be creative!
At the top of the pages, I used the exclusive ‘celebrating’ stamp you can find in the kit! It sure got a workout! Put them babies to use!
Then just to add some fun color and structure, I added a slice of the sprinkles washi tape to the edge of the pages that didn’t have a ticket on them! (You can always add a little tape runner to the back of the washi to make sure it doesn’t fall off later on)
Now when I flip through it, it’s bright and happy and full of sprinkles 😉
I love how this turned out! Can’t wait to fill it up!
