Hey there paper peeps! Birthday’s are a funny thing.. the world will try to tell you that aging is a bad thing.. that there are things you can do that will magically stop your skin from aging, make you youthful again, that the only way you can be beautiful is if you’re this, or that.. Well ya know what? It’s total CRAP. Every single day that we wake up and feel the air fill our lungs? Every single day it’s true we do age more, ache more, wrinkle more, our bones creak and crack more, but it is truly a gift! It’s time we start embracing it! Celebrate being alive for another glorious day! Celebrate what God has given you! Another day to smile, to enjoy, to live. I love that quote in Braveheart where towards the end William Wallace say, “Every man dies. But not every man lives.” Ugh it’s so true, what a wake up call! Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful!
I had the pleasure of celebrating another birthday recently, and it was like wow I’m kind of getting up there… lol! But. It’s ok! I am thankful to have had another year on this Earth. Everyone’s birthday should be celebrated, no matter how old!
Which brings me to my project today, called “36 Sprinkles!”
I still have more tag pages to add and more bling, but it’s coming along nicely! Big & chunky that’s how we likem! I love as you work your way towards the end of a kit and you have all of these delicious scraps laying there, it’s the perfect time to make a tag mini album!
All I did was take a large shipping tag, then traced it onto my paper scraps! Cut them out, punch your holes at the top, then stick a hole reinforcer on. I had some already die cut from a previous project, but you can make some by simply using 2 different sized hole punches!
Then pick out which silly pictures you want to use and start planning your tags! I love tucking cupcake wrappers and doilies in, it looks so cute with them sticking out everywhere!
Punch holes in large ephemera pieces like this best mom ribbon, they add fun interest while thumbing through your album!
Streamers also make the cutest ruffles! Leave a little sticking out the top & bottom for added texture!
It’s kind of tricky having room to journal on each tag, so I usually just do one big journal tag to cover the theme, then if you want to add little detailed journaling as you go that’s cool too!
A 3×4 cut apart card makes a cute page! Place a strip of washi tape across the top, then punch your hole! Embellish as desired and cut the cute banner notch out of the bottom if you want!
Vintage paper is always awesome for layering..
I have the best friends a girl could ask for! I love our scrappy partays!
This cake card is not in the kit and I have no idea where it came from, but I love it! It had to go in there!
Vellum makes a great page too!
The most delicious bird I have ever eaten…
